eugenie in brooklyn
At eugenie, place is the curatorial wellspring that shapes how we see and what we seek out. Detroit’s culture of experimentation and relational craftsmanship forms the foundation of our shop, endlessly extending our sensibilities outward into new textures and terrain.

Our community, both in-store and beyond, has long moved between Detroit and New York, carrying ideas and relationships across the distance. This October, we followed those threads to Brooklyn, opening an twelve-day outpost at Kinspace from October 15–26.
The space brought together a considered edit of independent fashion and accessories, from soft natural fibers to delicate fine jewelry. The curation was complemented by original paintings from artist Maxine McCrann and farm-to-table bites by Molly Mitchell of Detroit’s Rose’s Fine Foods, recently recognized by The New York Times.

The outpost welcomed old friends and new across twelve energizing days. Amidst the buzz, our co-founder, Gretchen Valade, hosted an evening panel on sustainable jewelry, where Laura Powers of BRUCE and Kelsey Lim of Abel Objects explored the complexities of the industry. The conversations and connections that unfolded in the space brought us closer to our clothing, our craft, and the community that surrounds them.
We’ve since returned to Detroit with a renewed connection to the places that influence our ethos. For those who visited us in New York, our evolving assortment continues online, with seasonal shifts always ready to explore. Keep an eye on our new arrivals here and in-store.
